This website, upstreamacquisitions.com, is operated by Damian Adcock, trading as Upstream Marine Acquisitions ("I", "me"). This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit the site or get in touch.

The short version

I only collect what you choose to send me, plus basic, anonymous visit statistics.
I use it to reply to you and to have the conversation you asked for.
I do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. Ever.
This site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The booking calendar on the Contact page is provided by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel); see below.

What I collect

When you use a form

The contact form asks for: a description of your business, your name, your phone number, and optionally your email and the best time to call. The "stay in touch" form asks for your name, a phone number or email, and optionally a rough timeframe. Anything else you choose to write in a message is also received.

When you email, call or book a time

I receive whatever you send, such as your email address, phone number and the content of your message.

When you book a call

Bookings are handled by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel). The booking calendar on the Contact page is embedded from LeadConnector's servers and opens from links elsewhere on the site. When you use it, LeadConnector receives the details you enter (such as your name, email, phone number and chosen time), along with technical information your browser sends, and may use cookies or similar technologies needed for the calendar to work. LeadConnector handles that information under its own privacy policy on my behalf. If you'd rather not use it, just call or email me instead.

When you visit

I use privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. They do not use cookies, do not track you across other websites, and do not collect information that identifies you personally. My web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security, for a limited time.

How I use your information

To reply to you and arrange the conversation you asked for.
To keep a private record of our conversations, if we continue talking.
To check in occasionally if you asked me to stay in touch. You can ask me to stop at any time.
To keep the site secure and working properly.

Who I share it with

Your information is kept confidential. I share it only with service providers who help me run this site and my communications, under their own confidentiality and security terms. These include our website host, my customer relationship and booking tool (LeadConnector / GoHighLevel), and my email service provider. I may also share information with my own attorney or accountant under confidentiality, or where the law requires it.

I do not share details of your business with capital partners or anyone else without your permission.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. If you'd like me to delete it sooner, just ask.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to tell you what information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask me to stop contacting you at any time. I will not treat you differently for making a request.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information I collect, use and disclose; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate information; and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and I do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit. I will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, email business@damianadcock.com or call (954) 892-1147. I may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Other US states have similar privacy laws. Wherever you live, you can contact me with the same requests.

Children

This site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending detailed financial documents until we have agreed a confidentiality agreement and a secure way to share them.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
